Jenny Wickens
CPR-C, AED and First Aid Certified

In DEC 2014 I decided I was going to quit smoking. I didn’t want to pick up food as most people do so I started going to the gym for the sole purpose of not gaining weight. I fell in love. It became my outlet, and led me to find myself and learn how to push myself in many ways. I ended up losing over 80 lbs by accident on my own through all the activities I fell in love with including hiking up the mountain. I also started cleaning up my diet which only improved my health and well being even more and fueled my body properly for the activities I enjoyed so much. From then on I have been hooked.

Travis Hennessey

My name is Travis Hennessey. I am 27 years old. I have been working out since the age of 13. I have taken a few personal trainers courses through the YMCA
Before working at The Centre I spent six years in the restaurant industry as a cook, but my main passion has always been the fitness industry. I am now in my comfort zone here at The Centre.
Sharing my passion with other people who have goals similar to myself is where I want to be. My job is to make sure the gym stays clean and as safe as possible so everyone can enjoy themselves with no worries in mind.
You can also catch me working out all though the week so don’t be afraid to introduce yourself.

Zumba Tone Instructor

I am an active senior who loves hiking, music, dance and working out. Exercise and a healthy diet have become a way of life for me as I’ve gotten older. I’ve done every exercise craze since 1970, but in 2010, a friend introduced me to a Zumba Fitness class and I was hooked! I became a certified Zumba Instructor in 2012 and then received my license to teach Zumba Toning in 2015.
What a great way to work out! Zumba Toning combined my love of dance, movement, music and strength training all into one. This calorie burning workout is more like a dance-a-thon to pulsing Latin and international music while using toning sticks to sculpt and strengthen your muscles.

Sarah went on to complete her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University in 2020.
