Ashtanga Vinyasa (Primary Series)
A synchronized style of vinyasa (flow) yoga…meaning that you never really stop in a resting position like other styles of yoga. You flow in between each posture keeping blood flowing and allowing your body to stay active. So… the individual poses (asanas) are linked by flowing movements (vinyasas). It is a series of postures that is the same every time which allows you to get to know the movements and really truly see the improvements in your body as well as mind.
Ashtanga Vinyasa synchronizes your breath and movements but it has many other benefits as well such as:
- Improve cardiovascular fitness. …
- Reduce body fat. …
- Reduce stress and anxiety. …
- Increase focus and creativity. …
- Lower blood pressure.
If you’re not sure what Hatha yoga is it’s where all yoga styles come from…no matter the style it all stems from Hatha. This is a Hatha based style class but with a little more activation of your muscles, mind and core and working on alignment. It’s not just about holding the postures but if you are in the properly if you are working your muscles fully to get the full benefits of each posture and giving into your breath. This is for any level yogi who wants to be more aware of the way the body works by activating your body to its full potential while breaking a bit of a stretch.
Gentle stretch (yoga)
We don’t always feel like having a hardcore work out, sometimes we want to be lazy yet active at the same time. A gentle stretch class is a nice soft and gentle way to stretch out your body and get out those knots and pains but be relaxed at the same time.
